2020 Worker-Share Positions
We are looking for a few folks who would like to help out on the farm this season in exchange for a farm-share. The ideal worker-share:
is enthusiastic about sustainable agriculture
is excited about the free exercise and fresh air you’ll get working outside
is able to make a regular commitment to helping on the farm
is a great communicator and gets along well with others
Required number of work days for full season shares:
Full Share – 24 days
Half share – 12 days
We are looking for worker shares to help with planting and harvesting during the spring and fall seasons:
April 1st to May 24th, 1-3 days per week, either 9 am - 12 pm or 1 - 4 pm, days are flexible
August 23rd to October 30th - 1-3 days per week, 9 am - 12 pm, Mon, Wed, Fri preferred
We thought that the spring and fall dates would work well for stay-at-home parents that have kids in school and might be interested in doing a worker-share three mornings per week. These dates are also flexible, depending on your schedule and which share type you select, so just let us know what would work best for you and we’ll see if we can come up with a good fit.
Spring worker shares will also be mostly involved in bed preparation and transplanting, Fall worker shares will be primarily helping with harvest, but may also be doing some planting.
Anna has been producing vegetables for CSA for the past 7 years and Cole is an apprentice on the farm who will be in his 2nd season in 2020. We plan to sell our produce through 60+ CSA shares, the Independence and Ft. Thomas Farmers’ Market, and the Ohio Valley Food Connection. Anna and Cole will be training you and working with you on a daily basis.
